Is Speaking in Tongues the Least Important of the Spiritual Gifts?

What is true is that tongues requires the least faith to manifest it.

"I would that ye ALL spake with tongues" -- it's a guaranteed gift.

The Lord would not desire for ALL that which He will not enable.

Jesus  is the ultimate Gift,   but which 1 Cor. 12 gift is greatest??

The greatest spiritual gift  is the gift needed at the given moment.

Prophecy is better than tongues,  unless the tongue is interpreted.

The Lord says to seek to interpret; this must be important to Him.

Without tongues there's no interpretation. Tongues are important.

How about healing?  Flesh gets healed, but flesh profiteth nothing.

I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied.

But you might agree with me that prophecy is easiest to counterfeit.

As a defense mechanism, "discerning of spirits" is crucial to have.

Most Christians would concur that miracles are certainly "great".

Jesus didn't say a gift is greatest; but, "Seek the best gifts" [plural].

Better means one of two.  Best gifts are 2 or more of three or more.

Tongues is the most "controversial"  of gifts,  a fact of importance.

Tongues is linked to  pride  in both the speakers and non-speakers.

It's been postulated that pride is the first and greatest sin of all sins.

Could maybe tongues be great, because it relates to the greatest sin?

For every action there does exist an opposite and an equal reaction.

For each humble tongue-talker a proud man says tongues are least.

For each one that receives tongues, there is one that rejects tongues.

But to reject tongues is not the same as to be denied tongues by God;
